Greentoes is a trickster god, and like most tricksters, refuses to be pinned down by simple truths. When Greentoes appears, their shape is always changing. Observers often witness the god shifting between forms in a playful, fluid manner, like an actor swapping masks mid-performance.
They favor forms resembling hairfoot folk with strange traits like horns, patches of fur, leafy hair, or a fox tail. Sometimes these changes occur mid-conversation. A traveler might speak to a fox-eared youth one moment, then blink to see a moss-skinned elder finishing the same sentence. The transformations are rarely frightening. They feel theatrical, like a performance meant to evoke a reaction.
Greentoes delights in confusion, wit, and clever reversals. They particularly enjoying humiliating the arrogant, helping clever underdogs, and exposing hypocrisy. Greentoes' tricks are rarely malicious, but they are indifferent to both the target's well being and potential collateral damage. Many legends end with events spiraling out into larger chaos.
