Cyclops

Cyclops society is composed of small clans spread far and wide across the hills and plains of Aldan. Clan villages commonly house less than fifty members, including children. They lead simple lives as sheep and goat herders and tending wild groves of fruit and nut trees. Though they appear unsophisticated due to the size, appearance, and simple clothing, cyclops are deep thinkers and have complex social traditions. The greatest of which is their refusal to speak direct lies. Even lying by omission is considered highly unethical unless pressed to do so for a good reason.

The cyclops have long lived in the wilder areas of world, far from human settlements. It is rare to see them travel far from their home turf and they tend to shy away from large cities. When they do, it is usually to work as mercenaries or labor in trade or to buy supplies for their clan. Their large size and legendary stamina make them ideal physical laborers and intimidating guards.

Look like humans with stoic, blocky features, but they average 8' tall, lack facial hair, and sport a single large eye in the center of their brow. The eye is pale and glitters with ancient wisdom.

Ogre

A foot taller than cyclops, ogres tend to be obese yet somehow stronger and faster than they look. Lacking hair they have a pair of horns (often mismatched) sprouting from their temples. Ogres have stunted, often asymmetric features and their feet are basically featureless stumps without proper toes or ankles. Due to their violent and rather abrasive natures, they live far from civilized areas and treat all trespassers as potential meals. This prevents them from gaining any meaningful education about the world, but far be it from them to ever admit it. Ogres are nearly all pathological liars, even about mundane and unimportant things. They don't like to look stupid, but rarely know anything that anyone is talking about. Plus, what does it matter that you lie? You are going to eat the creature you are lying to anyway. So, no harm done.
