And even then, keep one eye on your reflection.  This is a world where conspiracies are not just theories posted online, they are very real and can be very dangerous to get swept up in.   Yet swept up you all are.

On the surface everything looks normal.  Everyone goes about their lives blissfully unaware of the dark secrets that fester just below this surface normality.  But you began noticing that something wasn't right.  The more often you looked, the more uneasy you felt.  At times the world felt like a lie you couldn't unravel, a truth just out of reach, hidden behind a curtain you’re not allowed to pull back.  Then one day, that curtain was torn just enough for you to peek through, and to your horror, someone was looking back.
 

Now you and your companions have been “gifted” with one tiny parcel of secret knowledge about how the world really works.  Not only that, but those threatened by your intrusion are aware of this trespass.  Your lives are about to be turned upside down, and possibly severely shortened.  All of you need to work together to find a solution that will uncover this conspiracy and protect you from reprisals.
 

Please note that the world of Wheels Within Wheels is not inherently supernatural.  Conspiracies can be about almost anything and involve any elements of society.  There is also nothing precluding conspiracies that involve aliens, or the supernatural.  Future supplements may even deal with those subjects directly.
