Droid Union

The Unionized Droid Protectorate is a society of staggering mechanical diversity, where bodies of steel, polymer, and cermets took on nearly every conceivable configuration. Despite this visual chaos, the CTC enforced strict boundaries on sapience: any self-aware droid must fall within a carefully regulated mass, neither lighter than 4kg nor heavier than 400, and none may bear integrated weaponry. Time, however, has a way of sanding down excess, and the Union gradually converged on a refined suite of roughly a dozen standardized forms, each tailored to a specific societal role.

Among these, a few archetypes appear frequently across CTC space. Emissaries, uniquely crafted in the image and mannerisms of humans, serve as the diplomatic voice and social bridge of the Protectorate. Light workers, by contrast, are often delicate, many-limbed constructs built for precision and efficiency. Conversely, security units favor sturdier, often insectoid frames designed for resilience and vigilance. Analysts drift somewhere in between, their forms frequently abstract or even vehicular, optimized less for movement and more for processing, observation, and the quiet orchestration of data.
